Thanks to everyone who participated in the first round of the auction. Several items sold, but the rest will be re-auctioned (along with some brand new items) in the coming weeks. This was our first foray selling much on eBay and we learned some helpful things about pricing and promoting items. Keep an eye on this blog for more news about the auctions.

The auction begins today and includes signed sticks, jerseys, pucks and pictures by current and former all-stars and Hall of Famers including Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Gordie Howe, Brendan Shanahan, Steve Yzerman, Patrick Roy and Evgeni Malkin. Kristin (Katie) Thomas is a 33-year-old single mother and geneticist from Denver, Colorado. Diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2007, she was unresponsive to traditional treatment and is now showing great progress in a unique clinical trial that is not covered by her health insurance. All proceeds from auction sales will go towards her continued treatment. Individuals can also donate directly to her treatment fund.
